KAWANABE-BUTSUDAN N×N×T&R_#000

Kawanabe Butsudan is a traditional craft rooted in the Kawanabe region of Kagoshima, Japan.
Buddhist devotion has flourished in this land for over 800 years.
Along the way, outside forces threatened that faith.
But belief endured—and from that strength, innovation in form emerged.
What we know today as Kawanabe Butsudan is the shape that resilience took.
We are grateful for our encounter with the artisans who carry on this legacy.
